Yacht Description

Introduced by Amwax Prime, the impressive charter yacht FAR NIENTE is a 130 ft yacht featuring a jetski and a hot tub. The most valuable elements of FAR NIENTE are her impeccable styling and culinary experience. She was completed by the famous yacht builder Westport in 2014. A well-done refit was fulfilled in Annually. The spacious yacht layout features 5 cozy cabins and comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests.

Jean worked in fine dining restaurants in the UK and South Africa before moving into yacht gallies nine years ago including his most recent four-year tenure as a solo chef on the successful 40 m charter sailing yacht Twilight. He won the Barcelona Charter Show Chef Competition while working on Twilight - a true honor and epic experience. A keen fisherman, he is happy to give guests a crash course in landing, cleaning and cooking anything they catch while on board. He prides himself on guiding guests and crew through the best possible culinary experience whatever their culinary preferences or dietary needs.<br /> Hobbies: Photography, golf and fishing.<br /> <br /> FIRST MATE<br /> Lindsey Semino | USA<br /> Previous Yachts: Aqua Cat, Vista Blue. Born and raised in Arizona, Lindsey’s journey to the yachting industry is as inspiring as it is unique. Her passion for horses initially led her to become a Trainer Jockey, but her love for the water set her on a different path. Lindsey started working at a boat and jet ski rental company, which she successfully managed for nine years. During this time, she honed her skills, built her knowledge of the maritime industry, and laid the foundation for a lifelong career on the water. She began her yachting career as a Deck Stewardess and quickly made her mark with her hard work, motivation, and dedication. After joining M/Y Far Niente, Lindsey’s talents and leadership qualities were evident, and she stepped up to the Chief Officer position within just two years. She has now been an integral part of the M/Y Far Niente team for six years, showcasing her loyalty and exceptional expertise. Lindsey has extensive hands-on experience as a Dockhand at a marina and on a dive boat, during which time she earned her Captain’s license. As Chief Officer, she combines her extensive maritime experience, tender driving skills, and passion for travel and videography to ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience. After completing nursing high school, she earned a degree in Physiotherapy and worked at a rehabilitation and thalassotherapy clinic. Along the way, she became a certified lecturer in physiotherapy and expressed her artistic side as a guitarist and singer in a local band. Seeking more adventure, Marlena transitioned into yachting, where she has excelled for the past 12 years. Her role as Chief Stewardess allows her to combine her love of travel, fine dining, and luxury hospitality with her creative talents. She is known for crafting stunning tablescapes and organizing memorable themed nights. Fluent in English and Italian, with conversational Spanish, Marlena also brings exceptional bartending and barista expertise to her role. At the end of his apprenticeship in 2010 he rewarded himself with a 6-month holiday and somehow never made it back. He honed his engineering skills working in the oil and gas sector near the arctic circle in Canada. Life eventually took him to the Netherlands where he purchased a 27-foot sailboat. With a little help from YouTube and a bit of tenacity he taught himself to sail and crossed the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean! Thus began his life in the marine industry. AJ has been lucky enough to travel to Europe, the east coast of USA, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. In his free time, he is an avid spearfisher, hiker, horse rider and, of course, sailor.<br /> <br /> SECOND STEWARDESS <br /> Gorana Sabic | Croatia<br /> Previous Yachts: G3 (44m), Lion Share (39m), Nero (90m). Gorana comes from Croatia and has built a successful career in yachting over the past 10 years. After completing her education as a Dental Technician, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Economics. However, her adventurous spirit and love for travel led her to the yachting industry, where she discovered a true passion for the dynamic lifestyle it offers. From exploring stunning destinations to meeting people from diverse cultures, Gorana thrives in the ever-changing environment of yachting. For the past 3 years, she has been a valued member of the Far Niente crew, bringing her bubbly and friendly personality to the team. Her enthusiasm, professionalism, and love for the yachting life make her an exceptional addition to any crew. Chloe Thompson is a 23 year old from Johannesburg, South Africa. The eldest sibling in her family, she shares a close bond with her younger brother and considers her parents her greatest supporters. Her best friend, however, is her loyal four-legged companion, a spirited Dachshund named Rolo. In February 2024, Chloe embarked on her yachting journey, quickly proving her determination and work ethic. She gained valuable experience through daywork on yachts. Her role as a sole deck/stew on 112 foot Lady Kristina was a significant milestone, showcasing her ability to excel in both deck and interior responsibilities. Joining Far Niente marked her proudest achievement to date, where she continues to grow, alongside the crew. Chloe is determined to make her mark in the yachting world while embracing the endless opportunities for growth and adventure it offers.
