I’m Michael Darby, a passionate professional in the world of yachting with more than a decade of hands-on experience — first at sea as a crew member and later as a dedicated charter broker. My enthusiasm for this industry burns bright, and I take great pride in creating unforgettable experiences for my clients. From selecting the perfect yacht to designing tailor-made itineraries, I go above and beyond to ensure every detail of a charter is flawlessly arranged.
My journey began at 18 years old as a deckhand on prestigious motor sailers such as the 120ft “IRAKLIS L” (now known as “SLOW LIVE”) and the 96ft “LIANA H”. This experience provided invaluable insights into the yachting industry. It was during these early years that I fell in love with the beauty of the Greek ocean, and that love has never waned.
My philosophy is simple: every voyage should be a seamless blend of luxury, adventure, and impeccable hospitality. I am dedicated to service excellence, client satisfaction, and building lasting relationships through trust, integrity, and an unwavering passion for the sea.

“First Class”
We were a family of 17 on a vacation to Syros , Greece. A mix of US and Greek families of all ages. We wanted it to be very special since we only vacation together every few years. Our first encounter with Michael from Amwax was very professional and he was extremely well informed. We were looking to have a day on the water with water toys , sea bobs, swimming , snorkeling and stopping for lunch. We had shopped around and found other boats , however since Micheal had not pressured us we ultimately went with him. Our day was spectacular. We loved our experience and especially our crew. Michael followed our journey from start to finish and was available at a moments notice. Everything was meticulously planned. It was a truly incredible experience that we will treasure for a long time. We will use him again when we return for our next Greek island adventure.
