GRACE

Yannis is a dedicated captain with a wealth of maritime experience. Born in 1978, he is a Greek national who holds a Captain’s diploma along with all the necessary certifications for his position. Yannis began his career on cargo ships, gaining extensive experience before transitioning into the yachting industry in 2014. Before joining M/Y Grace in late 2024, he served onboard several charter yachts, including M/Y Halo, M/Y Project Steel, M/Y Mythos G, M/Y Sea U, and M/Y Ancallia, among others. His outgoing and hospitable nature, combined with his professional expertise, makes him the perfect commander for M/Y Grace. With years of experience navigating the Greek seas, Yannis is an expert in discovering secluded bays and perfect anchorages, and he excels at creating customized cruising experiences for guests. He works closely with his crew in order to provide Grace’s guests with a seamless and memorable charter. He has also been a water polo athlete since 1991. He speaks English fluently, and his personal interests include sailing, playing water polo, diving, hiking, and traveling. His diverse interests and deep knowledge of the Greek waters ensure a memorable and tailored experience for all who sail with him.

Nikos was born in Athens in 1982 and holds an engineer’s Class A diploma and all necessary certificates and training for his position. He started his career in 2003 on commercial ships and then he moved to cruise ships and the yachting industry. Nikos’ primary duty is the safety of all the guests and crew onboard, and his experience in big vessels and travelling around the world is a valuable asset for M/Y Grace. He speaks fluent English.

John is a Greek national and he has graduated from Tourism College of Greece. He started his career in 1995 and since then he is working as a chef in various luxury restaurants, hotels & villas around Greece and Europe; in Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Rhodes and in Switzerland. He has been working on charter yachts since 2007 and before joining M/Y Grace, John offered his services onboard M/Y Princess L. He has knowledge of international cuisines however his great passion is the Mediterranean and especially the contemporary Greek gastronomy. He is excellent in combining local Greek products with foreign cuisines creating delicious fusion dishes. John is a perfectionist and pays great attention to detail. He loves preparing himself everything he serves; from fresh homemade bread to sauces and heavenly desserts. John speaks English, and has basic Italian and German. He enjoys running, listening to music and computers.
