I had the pleasure of visiting Hannah and her crew at the Bahamas Yacht Show in January 2025, and I 100% recommend it!
Fresh off a $4M refit, Hannah is in top shape. It offers spacious comfort for up to 9 guests in 4 beautifully designed staterooms, including a luxurious Primary King suite.
The fantastic crew chemistry is evident, with a tight-knit, U.S.-based team led by Captain Dan and Chef Gillian, his wife. Their passion and experience create an exceptional guest experience. Captain Dan’s deep local knowledge makes him an invaluable resource when planning charters and itineraries, and he’s always available to discuss options. Plus, Hannah is charter-friendly and can be ready to set sail with just a few hours’ notice.
Guests can indulge in gourmet meals expertly prepared by Chef Gillian, perfectly paired with wines selected by sommeliers. Gillian
Chef
Gillian originally hails from the Maryland/D.C. area and moved to South Florida in 2011. Her love of the water is what ultimately attracted her into the yachting industry. Chef Gillian joined M/Y Hannah full time in August of 2023 after freelancing with the program since 2021. She entered the yachting industry in 2018 after a successful career in the hotel hospitality world. She worked with Kimpton hotels as a part of the training and opening team throughout the United States, Caribbean and Europe. Gillian has always had a passion for the culinary arts. Her degree in Art Studio and Design from the University of Maryland amplified her keen eye in plating. She continued her culinary education from IYT Superyacht Chef in South Africa along with a Ships Cook certificate, Food Safety and Master Court of Sommelier. Her culinary passion is evident in every dish she creates.
Kate
Chief Stew
Born and raised right outside of Sacramento, California, Kate grew up active on the water. Wakeboarding, water skiing, surfing and snorkeling from a young age shaped her love for the ocean. After attending Colorado State University and graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Kate joined the yachting industry. With her years in the hospitality industry and involvement in large event coordination Kate takes pride in personalizing every guest’s charter experience. Kate joined M/Y Hannah in October of 2023 as a Deck/Stew and has since been promoted into the Chief Stewardess position onboard and could not be happier.
Kelly
Deck/Stew
Originally from Gurnee, Illinois, Kelly grew up going to her family’s lake where she acquired her love for the water. Working in restaurants and bars throughout her time at the University of Missouri, Kelly was ready to combine her love for travel and hospitality, leading her to the yachting industry. Being an SDI scuba diver, Kelly enjoys capturing sea life through underwater photography and videography. With marine life knowledge, creativity and high-quality service, Kelly is here to customize your charter experience and create unforgettable memories. Kelly recently joined M/Y Hannah to complete our dynamic team.
Matt
Mate
Matt joined the yachting industry at the beginning of 2022 working hard to quickly move up the ladder to his current role as First Mate on M/Y Hannah. His foundation of professionalism and high-quality service stems from his childhood experience as a caddy throughout the Chicagoland area. After attending the University of Illinois, Matt continued his path in hospitality working in high-end restaurants and bars. Identifying yachting as the pinnacle of hospitality and a great way to translate his skills, Matt made the move to Florida and began his career. Matt’s skill and confidence in all things water related lends to a calming yet exciting guest experience. He is also a certified PADI Advanced Diver. He is always one step ahead, anticipating the needs of our guests.
